New Hampshire Author Rick DeCost Publishes Milenka
ROCHESTER, NH—New Hampshire author Rick DeCost is proud to announce the publishing of his first novel, entitled Milenka. Using Boston and Prague as a backdrop, DeCost intertwines three narratives into a sweeping love story.
A young violinist discovers love in a piece of music... A Boston Tavern holds the memories of a love long lost... An American expatriate in Prague is torn between love and infidelity...
“This love story is itself a labor of love,” remarked DeCost. “It’s taken me years to write, and even though it is a work of fiction, it involved lots of research. I have a friend from the Czech Republic and she helped with the dialogue translations in the narrative.”
Like many authors today, DeCost is eschewing the traditional publishing model and acting as his own agent and publisher. Like YouTube and blogging, self-publishing is a trend showing explosive growth. But of course, DeCost remains open to working with a publishing house on his future books. “Self-publishing is a way for authors to get their work out there and gain exposure, while also proving our dedication to our craft,” DeCost added.
Previews of sample chapters are posted on-line at www.absentwillowbooks.com. The book is available in trade paperback at $19.95. Limited numbers of personally signed copies are available. DeCost is available for book signings and interviews.
